KAJIAN FAKTOR INTRINSIK DAN KEMAMPUAN LITERASI SAINS SISWA SMP DI KOTA BANDAR LAMPUNG

Abstract
Kajian Faktor Intrinsik dan Kemampuan Literasi Sains Siswa SMP di Kota Bandar Lampung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan faktor penguatan intrinsik dan keberhasilan pelaksanaan literasi sains pada jenjang SMP di kota Bandar Lampung saat pemberlakuan pembelajaran daring selama Pandemi Covid-19. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 331 siswa SMP yang berasal dari kelas VIII tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Sampel dipilih melalui kombinasi teknik stratified dan cluster random sampling untuk memperoleh jumlah sampel yang representatif. Perolehan data penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen beruapa tes literasi sains dan kuesioner penguatan intrinsik. Representasi data selanjutnya dianalisis secara deskriptif melalui nilai presentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (i) faktor intrisik pada seluruh indikator masih di bawah 25%, (ii) indikator minat siswa dari dalam diri siswa dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran sains selama belajar daring dalam kategori tinggi (18,7%) dan (iii) siswa menyadari ketergunaan untuk melakukan belajar sains dalam kategori tinggi (20,5%) dan (iv) kemampuan literasi sains siswa berdasarkan kompetensinya masih tergolong rendah, dengan keseluruhan aspek literasi sains menunjukan nilai kurang dari 16%.

ABSTRACT
Study of Intrinsic Factors and Science Literacy Ability of Junior High School Students in Bandar Lampung. This study aims to describe the intrinsic reinforcement factor and the success of implementing scientific literacy at the junior high school level in Bandar Lampung during the implementation of online learning in Covid-19 pandemic. The research sample was 331 of 8th grade junior high school students in academic year 2020/2021. Samples were selected through a combination of stratified techniques and cluster random sampling to obtain a representative sample. The data was obtained through scientific literacy test and an intrinsic reinforcement questionnaire. The data analyzed descriptively through the percentage value. The results reveals the fact that: (i) the intrinsic factor in all indicators lower than 25%; (ii) the indicator of students’ interest in the implementation of science learning during online learning was in the high category (18.7%); (iii) students awareness of the usefulness of learning science in the high category (20.5%); and (iv) students’ scientific literacy ability is relatively low (the overall scientific literacy aspect less than 16%).
